Prime Minister's visit and Chief Minister's speech: Political parties flowing over Annamalai
Ministers and several party leaders have condemned Tamil Nadu BJP leader Annamalai, who said he was ashamed of Chief Minister Stalin for emphasizing Tamil Nadu's demands at a function attended by Prime Minister Modi in Chennai.
Speaking at a function attended by Prime Minister Modi in Chennai the day before yesterday (May 26), Chief Minister Stalin demanded an exemption from the NEET test and an increase in funding for Kachchativu recovery and Tamil Nadu projects.
Commenting on this, Tamil Nadu BJP leader Annamalai said,
As an ordinary citizen of India and a proud Tamil, I am ashamed of the behavior of Chief Minister Stalin. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP, did not attend the event. The Prime Minister has come to the government show. DMK is not interested in knowing the truth. Only interested in doing politics.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his affection for the Tamil language. In many places, he has revealed many times. I hope there is no answer to this first. He is only doing petty politics in this regard. Thus he has stated.
Tamil Nadu ministers and DMK and alliance leaders have protested against Annamalai's allegations. Their comments on this:
Minister Ponmudi
The Chief Minister has made it very clear what he wants to say at the Prime Minister's function. He has asked the Prime Minister how to cancel the 'Need' election. The BJP winner will say whatever he wants to hit 'Jalra'. We do not have to accept that. The BJP speaks in accordance with the respective states. In fact, they have no consensus policy. Chief Minister Stalin has stated the need for Tamil Nadu. That is the duty of the chief. If not, do not say anything. As the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, he has made a request to the Prime Minister for the needs of Tamil Nadu. The BJP, according to Winer, is talking about developing the party. There is no intention to develop Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister's request has been accepted by the Prime Minister. If so, would the Prime Minister have refused? The Chief Minister has mentioned the need of the people of Tamil Nadu with statistics. People understand this too.
Minister Sekarbabu
Annamalai has been critical of the Chief Minister's remarks at an event attended by Prime Minister Modi. The intimidation and rolling of the Annamalai is not a movement that the DMK fears at all. The DMK is a movement that has overcome many threats. Is it wrong to ask for more funding for development projects? Is it wrong to request that you cancel the NEET exam? The Chief Minister took the request of the State to the attention of the Prime Minister. If intimidation is a demand, then the DMK is not the movement that submits to it all. Let Annamalai say whatever he wants. DMK is ready to meet it. The Chief Minister has met Prime Minister Modi twice on the GST backlog and demands for Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister used this as a good opportunity to hear the demands of the people. You can ask anyone else without asking the federal government.
Tamil Nadu Congress leader KS Alagiri
How the Chief Minister says what a state wants is drama. Doesn't the Chief Minister have the right to approach the needs of the state? In erring on hearing the needs, their sense of slavery is evident. They say be as slave-conscious as we are. BJP, the leader's opinion is wrong. The Chief did not speak ill or immoral. There is nothing wrong with the state government owing money to the central government. But, it is wrong not to give what is due. The Chief Minister’s accusation is that the plans to join have not been joined. It is a mistake to conclude that Annamalai is for the knees and ankles
Liberation Leopards Thirumavalavan
Half a dozen people say that it is wrong for the Chief Minister to speak on Tamil Nadu issues as demands on the Prime Minister's platform. The first duty of the people's chief is to talk to the prime minister about the problems of the people.
State Secretary of the Marxist Communist Party Balakrishnan
BJP leader Annamalai has said he was ashamed of Chief Minister Stalin's speech at an event attended by Prime Minister Modi. It is the duty of the Chief Minister to present the just demands of the people of Tamil Nadu to the Prime Minister. That is what he has done. Instead what happened to decorate the stage and return was nothing but a killer toy. The Prime Minister, who has been vocal about the Tamil language from time to time, has not even spoken about the demand for equal rights.
Does Annamalai care at all about this? The Prime Minister's speech, which did not say anything about the implementation of the demands put forward by the Chief Minister, is disappointing. But Annamalai's criticism of the Chief Minister's speech, which hid it and presented the important demands of the people of Tamil Nadu to the Prime Minister, shows his half-heartedness. Thus they have stated.
